Wondrous Grace And Full Of Glory - Part Two

Jesus said: "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men [everyone] unto ME" (John 12:32). [amplification/emphasis added]

Jesus Christ - at every "Fact Intact" - was a miraculous feature no one had, could, would, or should towards all humanity to lift, set and seat them spiritually free! Being God first and man second (Son of God and Son of man), Jesus Christ could not fail His Mission to not only represent The Father, but also how everyone should so be and do with and towards one another.

It is as interesting as it is meaningful, that the "Cross of Christ" is the center-most point in history, as well as that relationship between Heaven and earth for all humanity forever! Christ proved His Love as well as The Father's Love in opening every door for the repentant-sinner "in his own order" (1 Corinthians 15:23), as becoming saint, could possibly enter through to share "His Riches In Glory" (Philippians 4:19); the victory of God's Mission Accomplished "in earth, as it is in heaven' (Matthew 6:10).

The following chart is not a comprehensive exhaustion of all that Jesus did. The Gospel of John says: "There are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written" (John 21:25). However, this is simply an overview to illustrate that Jesus Christ completely fulfilled His Mission to a Spiritually-dying world of humanity!

Plan Of Salvation (1 & 9 above)

Christ was "lifted up" in The Plan of Salvation which was made from the beginning of time as we read in Matthew 13:35: "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world." [emphasis added]

"For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world [Greek word is "kosmos" meaning "to put in order ... decoration ... including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively"]: but now once in the end of the world [Greek word is "aion" meaning "age" - that age of Christ's ministry and sacrifice] hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself" (Hebrews 9:26). [amplification/emphasis added]

For a more sure Word Of Prophecy, and for further evidence that Jesus Christ completely fulfilled His Mission; and that Bible Prophecy was completed conclusively in the Book of Revelation; Christ repeated Himself, so as to be not misunderstood by any, that He was the "Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which IS, and which WAS, and which IS TO COME" (See Revelation 1 :8; 11; 21:6; 22:13). Jesus is the First Word for everyone that "believes," and the Last Word for everyone that BE-LIVES.

Virgin Birth (2)

Christ was "lifted up" the second time at His birth - for He was Born A King! "Now when Jesus was born in Beth-lehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him" Matthew 2:1, 2. [emphasis added]

"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14).

"Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:20, 21)

At The Temple (3)

Jesus was "lifted up" the third time in His childhood: "Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing him, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" (Luke 2:41-49) [emphasis added]

At His Baptism (4)

Jesus was "lifted up" the fourth time at his baptism: "Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him, but John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:13-17). [emphasis added]

Christ's Ministry Of Teaching/Healing (5)

Jesus was "lifted up" the fifth time throughout His ministry as He "went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people" (Matthew 9:36).

All through His Ministry, Jesus spoke of His Kingdom, which was spiritual and "not of this world" (John 18:36). He repeatedly began a parable with the words: "The Kingdom Of Heaven is like ...." And again He confirmed His status as King to Pilate when "Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it" (Mark 14:2).

At The Cross (6)

Christ was "lifted up" upon the cross as He endured the full penalty of sin. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

"For as by one man's disobedience [Adam] many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one [Jesus Christ] shall many be made righteous)" Romans 5:19. [amplification/emphasis added]

Christ Even Went To Hell (7)

Many well-meaning Christians fail to go any further in their understanding and spiritual growth than accepting Jesus being "lifted up" for them at "The Cross." This creates a "stop-gap" in their Christian experience thus stagnating their relationship with God as stolid dwarfs until they realize the availability of His resourcefulness by taking all of us and "making us [them] sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:5). But it is very important to continue to go further on to the other steps and behold Christ as He was "lifted up" in our behalf at the completion of His Sacrifice as He also "went and preached unto the spirits in prison" (1 Peter 3:19). [amplification/emphasis added]

Appearing to John the Revelator, Christ stated: "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Revelation 1:18). [emphasis added]

Resurrection (8)

Jesus Christ was "lifted up" again when He rose from the grave. "Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. And they went and told it unto the residue; neither believed they them. Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen [or "lifted up"]" (Mark 16:9-14).

"For since by man come death, by man come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive" 1 Corinthians 15:21, 22. [emphasis added]

"So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: it is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit" (1 Corinthians 15:42-45). [emphasis added]

Christ's Advocacy In Heaven (1 & 9)

"And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world [Greek word is "kosmos" meaning "to put in order ... decoration ... including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively"]" (1 John 2:1, 2). [amplification added]

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:15, 16).

Truly, Jesus Christ has stayed "lifted up" that He might keep every "obedient believer" into His BE-LIVING forever and ever! Furthermore, Jesus Christ is "the open door," as He is a complete graceful gentleman for His Bride (Body of Be-LIVERS) in every area of every Being and every circumstance of every Doing; and knows no defeat in Becoming the Substitute purely for the immoral and ethic of all unworthinesses. For "with God ALL THINGS are possible" (Matthew 19:26).
